Good! I wanted a quick drink to warm up and also wanted to try Angelina's hot cocoa. Since one was in the Versailles palace it was perfect.

All I can say is I should have bought a tin of cocoa to go!

There's another location in Paris so I'm definitely getting some more of this goodness.

We stumbled upon two (of the many) locations of Angelina while in Paris, and this one in Versailles. I could not appropriately locate the Petit Trianon location, but it's quite small, really simply a takeaway with a few assorted tables - perhaps there are two at the Chateau of Versailles? Anyhow. We were tired from walking the extensive gardens, oh yesirree! So we stopped for their famous L'Africain Chocolat Chaud, but it is presented far less fancy, smaller amount, not as hot and sans the delightful whipped creme - even after asking they clearly said they do not provide that at this small location.

I got the premade brioche vegetarian sandwish with spinach, goat cheese, beetroot and some kind of chick pea/spread that was fairly tasty. It was just a so-so experience to be honest - but we needed a pick me up, and it provided that. Plus there was no wait!

I wish I could give them 0 star. Extremely bad service! First, located at the end of the tour but still inside the Palace, it's took us back to the crazy busy line to be back to the restaurant even though the Palace employees allowed us to cut the line - they should have their own door! Next, waited for a long a month of time to be seated, a gentleman guided to the table and menus were thrown on the tables. I felt weird but thought he may be so tired. Then waited for more than 20 mins, but that employee didn't come to take the order. I thought they didn't have enough server but NO, I found he took the orders for whoever he prefers, doesn't matter if you come first! I'm done! Not wasting any time to talk to the manager, we walked out of the poor service.
    Location - Bad
Menus - The price is set for 5 star but it is completely not worth it to try. We are staying at Hotel Du Louvre, prices are the same but extremely professional and friendly service.
    Employee attitude - Extremely bad

Do not come here after 3 pm.  They run out of a lot of items and do not serve warm dishes after 3 pm.  We tried ordering and our server kept running off to help someone else or get something for another table.  We were left ordering a coke, 2 Monte Carlos and 2 Nordiques.  The Monte Carlo is supposed to be their signature dessert and we found it way too sweet to eat or enjoy.  We left one completely on the table.  The Nordique wasn't bad; however, it was exceedingly bland and had no flavor which was disappointing for €26.  I expected more from this experience.  If it hadn't been conveniently located during the audio tour we would have given it a pass.

Angelina was super disappointing. Maybe it is just this location. Angelina is located inside the Palace of Versailles. We did not eat before coming here and we waited over an hour to get through the entrance. We were hungry and didn't really have a choice. We came here to have lunch and we got a sandwich to share and a cake to share. The sandwich was super sad. It was cold and dry. The baguette was super hard and chewy. It tasted like it was made last night. The cake was ok. We got the Mont Blanc. The chestnut was tasty.

There are actually two parts of Angelina here. One was the hightea sit down option and the other was the stand and quick snack option. We went for the quick snack because we arrived late. I believe the hightea section probably has better pastries and better food. It was just super disappointing for the standup quick snack area. But you would believe either one you choose the standard would be the same. Or maybe both options are bad. Also note the prices for the sit down hightea are higher because of the different menu items.
